Sugarhill Brighton - quality?

I'm tempted to buy a few things from them since they have such cute and colourful patterns!
Look, dinosaurs! www.sugarhillbrighton.com/collections/dresses/products/lauren-smock-dress-navy-lost-dinosaurs
But what is the quality like? The fabric looks a bit thin. Do their dresses and jumpers wash well?

Its been rated on here before. I'm sure someone will reply.

I was recommended them for the cut- none of this dropped shoulder jumpers but proper cut at the shoulder which is more flattering.

I love Sugarhill, I've had a good few things that have stood up to wear and washing without bobbling.

IGotHam · 17/11/2021 19:58

Dresses in the flesh are thin and cheek looking. Can't speak for their other stuff.

TheCheeseAlarm · 17/11/2021 20:00

I have that dress. I love it. Quality is fine. Not top but not poor. It's had loads of compliments.

Starcaller · 17/11/2021 20:01

The jumpers are good quality and wash well. I have four from them.

YukoandHiro · 17/11/2021 20:02

Very good quality. I have two items from them I wear all the time and in particular the cardigan is really thick and warm and also washes really well

QueenSue · 17/11/2021 20:09

Thank you for the replies! So the jumpers/cardis are especially good and the dresses are ok?

I have a dress from there in a great print. Cut is fab. However it’s not very colour fast fabric and has noticeably faded after 3 washes.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/11/2021 20:46

I have a lovely cardigan from there, but the dress I had was a right mess after a couple of washes.

weebarra · 17/11/2021 20:57

Don't have dresses but several jumpers which have worn well.

shepabear · 17/11/2021 21:00

I've just started buying from them - a few t shirts, a cardi, jumper and a dress. So far I've been impressed, they fit really nicely and are very flattering. But can't comment on longevity as haven't had the items for long.

moomoogalicious · 17/11/2021 21:02

Better quality than hush. I've bought a couple of jersey dresses and they wash well

Snoopsnoggysnog · 18/11/2021 00:21

They made a mistake on my order so refunded me and sent me the item for free. Amazing customer service! I love the dress but I haven’t actually worn it yet as ordered it a bit late for warm weather.

dgirluk · 18/11/2021 09:31

I've got a shirt, a non-collared top, and a t-shirt from them. Decent quality although the non-collared top has colour faded and gone a bit bobbly after a few washes. So I'd say mixed overall. But nothing's shrunk, misshapen or got any holes (so it's ahead of Hush !)

CaveMum · 18/11/2021 15:12

I’ve got two dresses from them:

one jumper dress bought last winter - honestly the warmest dress I own!
One summer wrap dress (this one - www.sugarhillbrighton.com/collections/dresses/products/constance-jersey-wrap-dress ) - love it, fits well and the fabric is good quality and colour is lasting well so far.

Tabbacus · 18/11/2021 15:15

I love their stuff, but I've found all of it aside from their Jersey type sweatshirts look crap after being washed, even with taking tonnes of care to wash as they recommend.

Pickles89 · 01/12/2021 23:27

I just discovered www.kite-clothing.co.uk/ . I didn't have great expectations as they were advertising on FB and I've been burned that way before. But I ordered a top, jeans, fleece and socks and they've come today. Seem like really nice quality. I was just thinking if anyone's into Sugarhill they'll probably like Kite too, though there's not a huge range.
