Wedding/party dress help!

I got married in April this year so small covid wedding with hardly any guests! We're having a wedding party next year to celebrate with our friends and family that couldn't be at the actual wedding, I was going to wear my wedding dress again but I'm thinking it won't be practical as it has a long train that can't be bustled up due to the style/material, so I'm on the hunt for a wedding party dress that won't get stood on! Still floor length but with little/no train, love the needle and thread tulle style gowns, anywhere else I could be searching? Or other similar brands you can think of? Thanks Smile

Is you love your wedding dress you could perhaps have it altered.

purplerainboww · 17/11/2021 08:07

Thank you all for your suggestions, I would love to wear the original dress but the seamstress who did the alterations said there wasn't a way to reduce or bustled the train due to the material, I've attached a pic of it incase anyone has any ideas?!

Does it matter that you have a train on your dress , surely if you'd had a larger wedding you would have kept your dress on anyway and just danced the night away in it!!
I'd love to wear my wedding dress again for legit reasons and not just for trying on in my bedroom to see if it still fits🤣
Give your guests the chance to see your beautiful dress!!!

I wonder if the long piece of lace could be removed completely and a shorter piece put on instead. It would be a real shame not to wear it again.
