The best tinted sunscreen?

Not sure if I'm looking for the Holy Grail, but here goes. We're off to the Caribbean next April and I won't be wearing much makeup. Instead I'm having my brows microbladed and my eyelashes tinted and permed.

But I really want a sunscreen that will:

  1. Give good protection,
  2. Won't sting my eyes,
  3. Will feel weightless and non sticky
  4. Won't leave a white cast
  5. Will even out skin tone

Does such a product even exist???

This probably isn’t the advice you’re looking for, but I recommend separate sunscreen and makeup. If your sunscreen is tinted you won’t apply it thickly enough to keep you safe from the sun. You’ll just apply a thin layer to get the makeup colour you want. I use Bondi Sands spf50 facial sunscreen and apply a light bb cream on top.

Clinique city block is really good

Origins ginzing tinted moisturiser is great, not drying at all

I use Australian Gold Botanical SPF50 tinted face lotion and am always impressed by it.

I'm very light skinned and burn easily, this has never let me down.

Heliocare colour gel cream is a very good “proper” sunscreen (not tinted moisturiser) and gives good coverage. Unfortunately it only comes in 2 colours and the light shade is more of a light medium with warm undertones. I haven’t tried the brown shade.

Thank you. I will still use a separate moisturiser before applying the sunscreen. So happy for it to be a proper sunscreen with just some added tint.

My dermatologist recommended this

Not the cheapest but I like it and I have faith in the sun protection unlike some.

Yes! Prevage City Smart Hydrating Shield by Elizabeth Arden. It is excellent. Not cheap mind.

I tried a few, heliocare, LRP, Eucerin and few I cant remember. They all look aweful if you put the required amount. Get stuck in my eyebrows and make evrything dirty :( i am much more comfortable with spf and a bit of foundation and powder on top if needed. Eucerin Oil Control is my favourite, it makes my skin look better than without it.
Paulas choice had a great light primer and spf, maybe have a look at what they offer.

If you’re dark skinned the Altruist tinted stuff is brilliant, and dirt cheap on Amazon.

There's a new one about to be released by this company (I have their SPF and love it) so might be worth a look when it's launched
