Botox for Beginners - how to get recommendations

Hi, I’m late 50s and want to do something about my 11s so I don’t have constant-angry-face. I don’t know anyone who has Botox/fillers, so don’t have anyone to ask for recommendations (and don’t really want anyone to know what Im doing, so don’t want to ask anywhere public like Facebook). My dentist does Botox/fillers, would that be a good place to go? - he has lots of good reviews as a dentist, but I can’t find any for his facial work. Any ideas on where to start? Im in Manchester.
Thank you!

I use a dentist to do mine - you can usually have a consultation before deciding to go ahead. I think they tend to have a very good understanding of facial structure.

Saying that, I did get a recommendation from someone I know. You could always search your local Facebook groups to see if anyone else has been brave enough to ask, and steal their recommendations!

I've had Botox for a few years - minimal and to soften lines rather than remove them - and I have two rules which have served me well:

  1. Only ever go to an actual dentist or cosmetic surgeon, check their registration, history, and make sure they're reputable; and
  2. Only go to someone where you have seen their previous clients (ideally in person but photos at a push). This is not an area where you want to scrimp!

I’ve used a dentist at my surgery too. I was very happy with her initial consultation, actual session and follow up.
