@Shannith those two looks are great on you. I have never bought anything from Me&EM. I’m off to have a look. Not that I need any more clothes. I’m retired and currently avoiding indoor social environments, so all my lovely clothes just sit in my wardrobe, taunting me!

@Shannith you look awesome in all those outfits.Used to love Bay Trading.My oldest item I still wear is a black Gap dress that cost me £35 in 1997.I dithered about buying it as it was expensive for me then. I have since worn it on every sunny holiday I have been on.Rolls up without creasing and can be worn dressed up or down .Still looks good as new.

So, DS has covid and he's been in London last week so it's almost certainly omicron. Sh*t. And he saw his sister last weekend when he was infectious so she now has to do a PCR before she can come

I’m finally on holiday. For just over 3 weeks. Next working day is 10 January!

@OublietteBravo he and his GF are triple jabbed too. They were in London last Thursday/Friday: 4 restaurants, lots of shopping and the theatre. They are ‘sensible’ but they were unlucky. Cases in London are really high.

Sorry to hear of all the positive covid cases and resulting upheaval - DS and I were meant to go to the theatre tonight but it's been cancelled due to positive cases within the company. I'm actually a bit relieved.

@Sooverthemill so sorry to hear your family plans have been screwed over by COVID. It really sucks that 2 years on we are still so influenced by it. I’ve a friend in New Zealand who says the measures there are tightening with the Delta and Omicron variants, but because they were so on it closing their borders to being with they have had 2 years of relative normality up until now. Makes me think the UK’s initial response to it was dubious at best!

DH was meant to be touring Europe with his band in January, that’s been cancelled and so have his local gigs between now and Christmas. He’s not a professional musician but fell in with some who are- it was a bit of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and now it’s cancelled he’s devastated, and I’m gutted for him. The other musicians are going their separate ways across the world this year so no chance of a reunion next year
