I’m 41. I used to be so fashionable and knew exactly what suited me. 3 kids later, what was a great hour glass figure that I loved showing off is now wobbly and bumpy. Waist is coming back so want to accentuate it. But I do feel I have lost my way.

Christmas party is at Bunga Bunga - a London cabaret restaurant. Thinking of wearing with low heeled ankle boots.

I’m 43 and also lost my way style wise so maybe not the reply you are hoping for! 😆 However I really like this outfit and would happily wear it myself

EllaPaella · 14/11/2021 12:51

I think that's a lovely outfit 👌

LaBellina · 14/11/2021 12:55

I would choose a black turtleneck with that skirt as it’s quite a statement piece on its own. Combined with the top it might be ‘too much’. But my style is very conservative, classic and plain/ boring even according to my own mother.

This looks really nice!!

Mushrooms0up · 14/11/2021 13:15

It’s lovely! Maybe a chunky belt as well, as I find without a belt I get a bit of pudge where the skirt meets the top (you might not have this issue!)

I think it would be a great outfit and was going to suggest a wide belt too (I'd definitely one, you may not!)
givememarmite · 14/11/2021 13:17

I'd need one that should say!

Girlintheframe · 14/11/2021 13:23

I love the outfit!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 14/11/2021 15:52

Bardot jumper much better for evening that turtle neck

Universeandeverything · 14/11/2021 15:55

It’s lovely but have you tried it on? I got a long pleated skirt from Next and it looked horrendous. Not sure why as they look nice on other people but it didn’t do my stomach any favours.

MarshaBradyo · 14/11/2021 15:57

Yes it’s great

Don’t do turtle neck

Amdone123 · 14/11/2021 16:04

Love it. You'll be a Christmas Cracker 😀

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 14/11/2021 18:09

Thank you everyone! Big boost of confidence ❤️

I have tried it on - I’ve worn it quite a lot, with a black turtle neck when I want to dress it down, so that was a great call. But yes it miraculously looks ok.
