I bought this a few years back. I'm now 31 and tried it on the other day and I'm just not sure if I'm a bit old for it? Is it something you wear when you're 18? Thoughts please!

I got something similar last year
I'm 56, its lovely and soft, it's like taking my cat out and having him draped around me
( without the purring )

I’m late 40s and have a brown one. DM is 86 and has a black one. I think you’ll do just fine Wink

@musicforsmorks

To be honest I just don't like the styling photos, it comes over as ridiculous because of the poses, etc. Of course in itself it isn't ridiculous. I think most sites aimed at younger women use fucking stupid poses. It was hard work earlier when I was trying to scroll through ASOS, every damn pic involved contorted posing and a sort of rap star wankiness.

Not as bad as Zara though, or M&S. Ive never seen such crazy styling as M&S...it's like they have no idea what to pair with the main item and often get it so, so wrong.
but that's just me.

Totally agree with this about ASOS. Was trying to find black jeans for DD for school the other week and it was really hard to imagine them without a cropped top and jacket hanging off the shoulders (which is my absolute hate - I sat through most of the first episode of Showtrial resisting the urge to shout 'pull your jacket up' at the screen). I realise this makes me sound about 70 though Grin
TeenTraumaTrials · 13/11/2021 17:58

It's a really nice jacket though OP - sure you will look fab in it

Mortifiedloostory · 13/11/2021 17:59

@DameCelia

Surely the only point at which you're too old to wear something is if you are actually dead and incapable of putting it on?
Grin Yes this!
nannybeach · 13/11/2021 18:01

I've got a lighter coloured one,and I'm 71 my kids love it
You're only as old as the man you feel honey!!

chipsandgin · 13/11/2021 18:13

I hope not, I’ve got the same & Im nearly 50! As long as you like something & it looks good on you you’re never ‘too old’ IMO.

Mammyloveswine · 13/11/2021 18:19

You're 31!!! It's fine!

chipsandpeas · 13/11/2021 18:38

i have something similar from primark and im 44 and still wear it

Tisforptarmigan · 13/11/2021 18:48

I'm looking for one at the moment and I'm 53. Would like a leopard print one too!

Dont feel too old at all!

VillKrill · 13/11/2021 18:59

At 31 one should really only be shopping here: m.damart.co.uk/

ambereeree · 13/11/2021 20:02

31 is young. You can wear everything with no hesitation

ThankYouDebbie · 13/11/2021 20:44

Half the people I know have the Primark version, including me. I'm 45 Grin

Goodness, no! Far too outlandish for a trigenarian!

This store is far more suitable:
www.rivalclothing.co.uk/index.html

(Actually, it's quite a useful website if you have an elderly relative who prefers a certain style or who lacks mobility)

BatshitCrazyWoman · 14/11/2021 08:22

Way older than you, and have something similar.

The only thing a 31 year old should wear is ... whatever the fuck she likes.
