Suggestions for nice, modern simple jewellery

It’s my 40th soon and I want a simple but lovely piece of jewellery. Preferably a pendant. I am open to silver or gold but I really like sapphires (blue or yellow or pink). I like simple pieces, no lace or filigree. It doesn’t necessarily have to be delicate though.

Any suggestions for jewellers I can look at? I am open to modern or vintage/antique. Budget up to around £500.

Thanks!

I just had a fabulous ring made for my 40th, by the same jeweller who made my wedding ring. She’s based in Barcelona, so there would be customs forms these days (I live in Portugal), but she’s amazing.

I had a gold and opal ring made (my birthstone), it was 520€

TheLeadbetterLife · 13/11/2021 13:51

Sorry maybe it was 560€

@RubiesandRose Thanks, but far too fussy for my tastes.

I’m contemplating having some old jewellery refashioned into “new”. This is the lady I’m looking at…

Some of the work she produces from old jewellery is really beautiful.

Have a look at the Georg Jenson website. I got a ring and some earrings for my 50th. Very beautiful.

Please consider shopping small rather than mass produced. My favorite independent jewellers are Abigail Jewellery, Imogen Rose, Anne Michelle & Jodie Fern.

I was going to suggest Georg Jensen but I see someone else has. Beautiful simple lines, modern classic pieces.

I also dislike fussy sort of jewellery but been eyeing up this designer recently: mayamagal.co.uk/
