Any recommendations for a budget mascara that doesn't flake or smudge please?

I'm going shopping with DD later and the options are either Superdrug or Boots. My go to is a Clinique mascara but I can't afford it at the moment. I'm currently using a No7 one but it smudges through the day and as I have dark circles already, this makes that problem worse.

Can anyone suggest a high street mascara that will stay put, not irritate and not smudge/flake under the eyes please?

I like the Maybelline one that comes in the bright pink tube.

DidgeDoolittle · 13/11/2021 09:52

No7 tubing mascara in the gold tube. It won't move until you take it off with warm water.

Second Maybelline! I use the lash sensational in waterproof. I even wore it for my wedding day. 14 hours of no smudging! I can’t go back now. It’s £5 on Amazon currently.

Many years ago I was recommended the Boots No 7 Stay Perfect mascara (the tubing one) on here and it does indeed stay perfect.

Collection lash surge. It's a Lancôme dupe. I buy the waterproof version. It's an excellent mascara for under a fiver.

Boots No 7 Stay Perfect. It's the best mascara I've ever used.

Wilko mascara
It’s a black tube with green writing
It’s the best I’ve ever used and about £3

Boots Natural Collection one in the white tube, I'm using that at the moment.

Oh brilliant, lots to try, thank you all for taking time to reply! I'll see what I can find and might try a couple (in the name of research). Thanks again all Flowers

Maybelline Falsies is fabulous.

Deathraystare · 13/11/2021 14:07

Yep Wilco Essence mascara (Think it is called Pricess or something) very good.

I think they've changed the packaging now so I keep buying the wrong one, but yes, the No 7 waterproof one is excellent and half the price of Clarins.
mnahmnah · 13/11/2021 14:42

I bought the No 7 Stay Perfect after seeing it recommended lots in here. No different to any other mascara! Every time I go to look in a mirror I end up having to wipe away bits of it

Itsbeen84yearss · 13/11/2021 14:43

Max factor masterpiece max is hg for me. You can get it cheap on Amazon

Sparkletree · 13/11/2021 14:44

Maybelline great lash mascara is cheap and really good

friskybivalves · 13/11/2021 14:46

I know you've not mentioned the store but if ever you are near one... The Primark PS Waterproof one in the blue case. It's £2.50 and I swear by it. Used to use £££ Japanese ones but pinched this from my teenage DD Wink and its blooming brilliant.

WeeM · 13/11/2021 14:48

I also really like the Wilko Lash Princess one. I’ve had a few great things from the Essence range there.
