I agree entirely. I largely source my outdoor gear from Patagonia, who have been market leaders in business and materials ethics for nigh on 30 years after have given old divers to the Re:down project. I did actually check what LE have to day about the source of the down they use before posting, and was heartened by their own statement here. This may of course not stand up to wider investigation. It’s worth also bearing in mind that there are alternatives to synthetic plastics.

Thank you, it’s good to have a calm exchange about it. I hadn’t checked LE before posting as I avoid all down and, as much as possible, all animal byproducts. I read the statement on the website afterwards and it does sound more responsible and accountable than others whilst still being animal product.
