Posh lunch outfit

My friends and I have booked lunch at The Dome in Edinburgh.
I'm not a fashionista at all, I live in jeans and I have no idea what I should look for.
Is a dress too much for lunchtime? Are jeans or leggings with a nice top too scruffy?
I'm a size 24, 5'7" mid 40's and I don't do high heels.
Can anyone help please?

Where do you usually buy clothes? As that gives an indication of budget.

(And high heels aren’t fashionable right now, so anti-heels militancy is a waste of energy!)

I've been to the Dome, but only in the evening and people were pretty dressed up.
For lunch I would probably wear a midi dress and biker jacket, don't think it needs to be too formal but personally I wouldn't wear jeans.

I usually buy clothes from supermarkets Blush, just jeans, t shirts and jumpers kind of thing. I could afford around £100.
Thanks for replying

I'd probably wear a floaty type midi dress with ankle boots and a biker type jacket and bright lippy.

Do you like any of these?

navy lace maxi in a size 24

or cosmic print wrap

or foil print maxi

I've ordered this, I do like that navy maxi though.

That is a gorgeous dress.
The teal colour with the pink and black is a lovely combo

Like that dress you've ordered, I was going to say dress for the dome as it is fairly smart. It is quite dark as well from what I remember x

Thank you! I hope it looks nice on.

That looks perfect OP

The dress you've ordered will be lovely OP.
You'll see people wearing all sorts in the Dome through the day, folks out shopping and nipping in for tea/coffee/drinks etc.

Edinburgh in general isn't too dressy. Have a lovely day!
