DH works Christmas party is at the end of this month, in a marquee (hard floor) with the only dress code being “a hint of Christmas”. It’s rural rather than City.
I’ve recently (a few months ago) had a baby so am a very pot bellied size 16, low in confidence. Someone congratulated me on my pregnancy so soon after my baby last week
I don’t want to be an embarrassment as used to be a slim, busty size 12 hourglass. My DH says something smart/casual and not to overdress but I know a couple of the other wives are more on the glam side. I’m usually spoilt for choice with outfits but I’m in a rut.
It needs to be warm, preferably mid or long sleeved, and be worn with black heeled ankle boots or grey knee highs. I’m more conservative in style. Elegant rather than quirky. Think Holly W, or the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge but think her style would look a bit grumpy on anyone a bit bigger. I looked at this jumpsuit www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/leopard-jacquard-black-tie-waist-jumpsuit-321588 but it’s not in my size and I don’t know what footwear would go either.
Please help, I need a boost so I feel less mumsy just for one night without being overdressed.
