I need something to suck my baby belly in…

Had a baby a couple months ago, I got back to my pre pregnancy weight pretty quickly but I cannot for the life of me budge this little jelly belly. I’ve found a gorgeous dress to wear for Christmas, it’s very figure hugging. I’ve tried the old Spanx but they are so uncomfortable and I’ll be eating a big meal (I was hideously ill with morning sickness last year so I plan to fully make up for it this year!)

Does anyone have any suggestions or should I just give up and buy a dress that makes me look like a potato 😂 I’ll be wearing thick black tights so if anyone knows of any that suck in the belly that would be great! I just want to feel confident in myself for the first time since having the little one!

M&S do body shaper tights and other belly flattening things.

Buy a size bigger than you are for extra comfort.

I hadn’t even thought about body shaper tights… they might make my butt look like it’s actually there!! Fab idea, I’m off to investigate!

I have this problem too, I would like something that pulls in on the belly but is soft on the waist as I find a lot of shape wear is tight on the waist and pushes the belly out, or may by that's just me.

Primark body shaper tights are ace!

I don't think it's physically possible to feel comfortable and eat a big meal while something is pressing your stomach in. Don't do it to yourself.

There's a whole world of options between very figure hugging and looking like a potato. The perfect dress that makes you feel confident is out there. This isn't it. It's making you feel you don't look good as you are. It probably does the same to every woman who tries it on.

Christmas Day is not the day to wear clothes that need belly sucking shapewear!

My go to for christmas day is a sequinned shift dress. Still sparkly and special but all the comfort!

A little post baby jelly belly is cute.

Embrace the cuteness of it

Take a step back and think to yourself 'what would I think if I saw someone with a little jelly belly just after giving birth' would you even dream of judging them. No of course not.
