Drinking with lipstick

Is there such a thing as a lipstick that doesn't leave hideous marks when drinking a lovely glass of wine? I have a drawer full that smear everywhere. Or maybe it's just me??

I read a tip once to lick the glass before you take a sip to stop lipstick leaving a mark. It does work but you look a bit weird licking a glass.

Revlon used to do a kind of sealent stick that you applied over lipstick. It was good but for the fact that you practically had to sand it off to remove it at the end of the day.

I found the holy grail a couple of months ago. Its Chanel though. They do a double ended one and I swear it does not budge. You have to use both ends and then I top up the gloss every so often. It lasts all day even when I have to wear a mask.

Lick round the edge of the glass and it doesn't transfer. Discreetly if you are in company
I do it with cups too if I'm wearing lipstick

Maybelline Super Stay 24 doesn’t leave marks. There is a lip colour at one end of the container and a clear gloss at the other end. Doesn’t dry your lips either, just make leave a minute or so between applications to ensure the lip colour has dried before applying the gloss coat. Not expensive either.

Lick the lip, not the glass! Slightly less obvious!

I swear by these liquid lipsticks, I wore it to a wedding and it was still on when I woke up hungover the next day and none on my glass! The guava gush is my favourite shade.

Then how do you tell the glass is yours?

None of mine do, even the cheapies, provided I apply blot and repeat.
