Party dress?

I've been invited to a birthday party in December, and haven't got a clue what to wear. The party will be at a golf club. I"m in my 50's, fairly slim.

I know that I like to wear midi dresses but have had a quick look around and can't see anything I like. I prefer plain, classic outfits, but at the same time would like a bit of sparkle for Christmas. I prefer dresses to be reasonably figure hugging; I'm only 5 foot 4 so floaty loose items don't do a lot for me. I'm not on a tight budget; ideally looking to spend around £100-150.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Defiantly41 thanks for the suggestions. I quite like the look of the Pewter sequin dress. The glamour stretch dress is too low cut for me and the gunmetal dress is too short. The shift dress looks good but unfortunately I'm a size 12 and they're out of stock. The final green dress is a little too frilly for me but also it has short sleeves; I should have said that I'm really looking at at least 3/4 length sleeves as it's a winter party.

So, the pewter sequin dress is a possibility but I'd really like something plainer. It doesn't have to be so sparkly as I'm not sure how dressed up the event will be; I suspect a lot of the guests will be wearing more low key outfits.

Two nice classic options.

Jacelanks I love the Madisyn sparkle knitted dress; that's definitely the sort of think I've been looking for. But sadly it's out of stock in my size (12).

JaceLancs I also like the look of the Becca pearl dress. I've ordered the last one in size 12! I'm hoping it will look longer on me than on the model.
I hadn't thought of checking Phase Eight before; they have a lot of great dresses, so thanks for the suggestions.

I have the Becca Pearl dress and it's really nice! You can kind of adjust the skirt length, I think you'll be ok

Disaster; just got an email from Phase Eight to say they've cancelled the order! The website did say only one in stock so presumably someone else got there first.

Back to square one.

It's very frustrating that Phase Eight seems to have sold out of some gorgeous party dresses a long time before the party season; why? I'm hoping they'll get some new designs in as gorgeous as the two I've just missed.

Thanks; that's the one I thought I was buying! I planned to ring Phase Eight today as I know the website still showed one in stock all of yesterday but I don't think it existed; It's gone off the website today.
