Fake tan gone wrong, help!

Mamacita191 · 08/11/2021 16:57

Evening all.

So a few weeks ago I used no7 gradual body tanning lotion, I’m a newbie so didn’t moisturise etc beforehand. Well it’s clung to my knees and I have 2 patches of dark skin on each knee. No amount of scrubbing can get rid of them!

Does anyone have any tips to shift these?

Thanks!

Go for a swim

or reapply everywhere apart from your knees

white(no it isnt-its clear/see through) distilled vinegar will remove it.not best scent ever but that fades quickly enough...

Get a microfibre face cloth and use that. Honestly, it’s like magic.

Snap friends fan here!

I only did it the once and this happened 😂 don’t know why I even tried as I’m not really normally into doing that stuff lol. Scrubbing just doesn’t get rid of it

Toothpaste. And a scrubber.

@Mamacita191 If any of FRIENDS turn up with a camera, don't open the door! (Sorry, I'm being no help whatsoever!🤭)

Veet hair removal cream is brilliant at removing fake tan

Do you have a foot file? Or an emery board? Carefully, using the fine side, rub the dark patches. It's slight calluses on your knees that have taken up too much colour. Also check your elbows.

Mamacita191 · 08/11/2021 19:42

Thank you for the recommendations everyone! Might try the footfile thing.

We do have a back scrubber thing for the shower which I’ve been using it hasn’t made much difference after 2 scrubs though. I’m assuming I need to do it for longer

Do do do the foot file thing. Lightly, it shouldn't be sore. It really works.

I’ll give it a go! Is it likely I’m going to have to do it more than once? Like does it take a few tries to completely go?
