My DD(18) was asking and I’ve no clue. She can’t afford to get them ‘done’ at £100 locally so wondered about magnetic ones. What are the pros and cons and what should she be looking for? Any brands better than others? She wants a natural ish look. Thanks!

I do ok with strip lashes and adhesive but have never managed to get magnetic lashes on. They are truly the fiddliest things on the planet.

TaraR2020 · 07/11/2021 10:29

Completely opposite experience for me - I found they take seconds to put on, really easy and comfortable, Last all day.

Never got on with adhesive.

Can't offer individual recommendations as I don't have a preference. Only con is that the eyeliner isn't as easy to clean off at the end of the day as normal make up.

I have some ace ones from Amazon that stay on all day. You have to put a couple of layers of the eyeliner on, and wait for it to dry completely before putting the lashes on, but they are really effective.

I’ve never used magnetic ones but I use strip and glue. The Eyelure ones are pretty cheap from Amazon and I get them on Subscribe and save. I’ve been doing this for a few months and it’s now a very quick job to stick and go. And I no longer use mascara.

Thank you. There’s a few on Amazon that seem to get good reviews so definitely worth a try.

Please come back with any personal recommendations! The ones I bought last, and liked, are no longer for sale.

Oh, I completely forgot they existed, I do have a magnetic set but with a top and bottom layer and they're a nightmare.
