Boden Vanessa pj's versus Hush Joy

I have recently bought a pair of Boden Vanessa pyjamas and fallen in love with them. They are a really soft and cosy brushed cotton. I would like another pair, but don't really like any of the other prints at Boden. Hush appear to do something similar, the Joy pyjama. Does anyone have these - are they cosy like brushed cotton?

No help on the Hush ones, but would you mind sharing which fabric you went for on the Vanessa PJs? The ones I've had for years are going into holes, but not sure which pattern to choose.

Yawn also look like they do nice pyjamas, but I haven't tried them.

I have Hush Pjs, I love them and use them more for lounge wear rather than sleeping in them. They are cotton so not that soft but I really like the fit and for lounge wear. I have just looked at the Boden you mentioned think I'll put those on mg Xmas list!

Oh my, those Boden Vanessa pyjamas are beautiful, they're going onto my Christmas list too!!

IglesiasPiggl · 06/11/2021 23:00

@IsItMeOr I got the Pretty Bird ones, which I love. Sadly though the other three options don't look like they would suit me, otherwise I would definitely have ordered another pair by now!

@teaandcake22 thanks for that. This is what I feared may be the case. I am after another pair of cosy brushed cotton ones. I love the prints at Hush but I'm not sure they are like brushed cotton.

I can't help on the Hush ones, but I love my Boden Vanessas. They are so soft and they have pockets.

IsItMeOr · 06/11/2021 23:16

@IglesiasPiggl thanks, I just realised that I was just looking at the bottoms, which have completely different patterns. Hopefully they'll still be the same lovely soft fabric though!

Jigsaw do some nice cotton flannel pjs. I've just got some in dark pink and they are lush.

An email has come out today from them with some brushed cotton options! You are in luck.

Get two pairs of Vanessa in the same print. I adore mine, best PJs ever

Nearlyadoctor · 07/11/2021 08:16

I’ve got a couple of pairs of the Hush brushed cotton ones and they’re lovely and soft. One pair are now 5 years old so I bought a new pair this season ( navy with silver stars) and they are exactly the same as my originals, so I was really pleased as often companies change their fabrics etc over time.

Cath kidston make great quality pj sets. I have two pairs of their brushed cotton and they're wonderful. I usually wait for sales but if you're used to boden pj pricess then you'll think £60 is fine!

You see I am torn on this one. I do like a bit of variety in my life when it comes to pj's but I also love the Vanessa pj's. I don't think I want two the same but I may yet change my mind!

This is really encouraging - the navy stars ones are one of the Joy prints, so it sounds like they are nice and cosy. I really like the green tiger print ones, may have to check out my basket today!

@IglesiasPiggl - they call them flannel but they are definitely brushed cotton. I also prefer that the waist tie isn’t ribbon as ime with Boden ribbon ties they do fray quite quickly.

Following as I have been promised some pjs for Christmas, haven't had new ones in years....
