Independent jewellers

Hello,

I'm looking for recommendations for nice independent jewellers please. Not high end bespoke "we'll make your diamond engagement ring" type place but the sort of place that does quality gold and silver everyday wear.

What I'm really looking for is a gold charm necklace for daily wear. Something more interesting/unusual than the usual fare you find on notonthehighstreet. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Google “working jewellers” in your area.I had my (very low key) engagement ring and a charm bracelet made to my spec by a lovely man in a basement in Huddersfield.

For bracelets in particular I like Julia Beusch

I’ve been looking at Alice Robson, Isabella Day and MirriI Damer. I also love Helen West, on Folksy and Etsy as well as her own website for silver and gemstones although she does gold too.

Where are you based? Guildhall Jewellers in Lincoln is fantastic if you’re up that way

I find Instagram great for this. Have a look at Clare Elizabeth Kilgour, Cat Stacey Jewellery, Chupi, Emily Nixon Jewellery, littlejoyjeweller - I love all their work.
