Looking for the holy grail of primers:

Makes foundation sit on skin really beautifully and last all day

Makes pores disappear

Makes any dry patches disappear / stops foundation sticking to them

Leaves skin luminous but not shiny or greasy

Isn't silicone based

Am I delusional?

My SD swears by benefit porefessional. Says it does wonder to the look of pores. I don't know but suspect it may however contain silicone.

I've been looking at the VIEVE skin dew which appears to do everything your talking about. Haven't tried it however and don't know about the silicone content.

Boots No7 do some good Primers, I had one years ago, which probably when my skin was better though too, went on lovely and made my face look nice, that was without putting anything on top. Formulations might of changed by now though sorry. I did look at them again though, within the last few months, and they seemed to have a good few for different needs. I can't confirm however, that they are silicone free though. Have you got any stores around you, like a big Boots etc? So you can go in and ask for assistance and try something?

I've just tried a sample of this Clarins one and my god it glides on sooooooo smoothly. Not cheap though. Got a few primers to work through before I decide if I'm prepared to splash out on this or not...

Aldi do a dupe of the Smashbox primer and it has some really good reviews.
