Dry shampoo that doesn't stink?!

Just that really. Have tried a few and they're all so smelly! Is there one which is either unscented or delicately fragrances. Easy going about price, seeing as I've wasted so much money on the batiste/tigi type ones and had to ditch them. Thanks.

Which scents/colours are you getting? I use the green batiste (or green knock offs!) Labelled "original" and don't notice a smell really. Its more like talc and goes away once I brush my hair afterwards? Confused

madmomma · 05/11/2021 23:04

I think I've got a sensitive nose, maybe. I can't remember which exact ones I've tried, but definitely a few batiste formulas, a superdrug copy and a tigi one from home bargains.

Klorane.

Invisimamma · 05/11/2021 23:13

They are usually scented to keep your hair smelling fresh though. As well as absorbing excess oils to make it look 'clean' .

I use batiste original.

AnnieSnap · 05/11/2021 23:25

I use Label. M. It doesn’t have much of a smell at all.

I saw this article recently with some recommendations from sali Hughes

amp.theguardian.com/fashion/2021/oct/23/cut-down-on-hair-washes-with-a-new-gen-dry-shampoo

TottiePlantagenet · 05/11/2021 23:36

Klorane is the one I've bought again and again, because it doesn't smell strongly or badly (for me). I recently bought Living Proof, the shop staff assured me there was hardly any scent but to my nose it pongs! I don't like the strong smell of Batiste either. Can't wait to finish the can and return to Klorane.

I hear you Op I have an extremely sensitive nose for perfumes and strong perfumes actually make me quite ill. I have ALDH2 deficiency and can't tolerate alcohols and especially in perfumes. My head starts pounding in seconds if my DD gets in the car after having sprayed strong perfume or a rep at work comes in wearing strong aftershave.

[[I have recently been using this for my dry shampoo

www.corinnetaylor.co.uk/collections/body/products/talc-free-body-powder]]

It's talc free so completely safe and although it contains lavender essential oil and chamomile extract (both of which I love) it really doesn't get to me like Babtiste sadly does.
I bought the Klorane one for when I went to hospital to have DD as I was in for 5 days post c section and it's very good but I still found a strongish smell (BUT I am very sensitive!)
She actually does a dry shampoo but tbh I am sticking the body powder for my dry shampoo as I can't see what the difference is in ingredients and I don't know if I could cope with the smell of the palmarosa but I am curious so when I finish this one (in about 2 years!) I may try it.
I can't actually believe I've written so much about dry shampoo.

Thanks carbon and tottie, I'm going to try the klorane one and see how I get on with it.

Yes invisimamma I appreciate why they're scented. I just want an unscented one because I use it on hair that's clean anyway, it's just for grip and body.

Oribe- £££ but smells gorgeous

madmomma · 06/11/2021 08:40

Thanks mylovelydd, that link isn't working for me, but I'll Google that powder and stick it on my list.

oxana ooh I wondered if anyone had tried the oribe one. Can you describe the scent?

OP posts:
madmomma · 06/11/2021 08:44

Ooh books that's so cheap it'd be daft not to try it, cheers.

@madmomma it smells like their other gold list products, sort of south of France luxury! I think it’s bergamot and jasmine.
