Going out shoes! (Similar to Esska Fink maybe?)

I'm after some reasonably comfy and versatile going-out shoes - I love the look of Esska Fink in champagne, but they're sold out in my size (and v pricey)...

To be honest I'm a bit clueless about going-out shoes now - what do people wear?! My instinct from now til about March/April is chunky chelsea boots but what if you want something a bit more fancy/dressy, but still comfy? Recommendations much appreciated please 😃

I had to Google those Fink things. Sorry, but I think they're horrible.
Tbh, I think boots are the way to go. Maybe heeled ones if you want to feel dressier?

Oh Remus, I usually broadly align with your opinions on S&B! I just like the look of the block heel on the Fink, I think, and think they'd be fairly versatile - I was hoping for something I could wear out and also to weddings/parties etc, and boots are fine for winter nights out but realistically I only go on about two of those p/a 😁

Sorry, Laquila. They look like pantomime dame shoes to me.

I've got some ancient Clarks things a bit like this that I wear when I want to feel a bit dressed up. Somebody will almost certainly be along soon to say they are 'mum boots' but they can fuck off if they do. Grin

I like this style of shoe and think this is similar shoe-shop.com/products/una-high-vamp-leather-heeled-sandals-una-318-332?variant=40771520135346

I have those AllSaints boots, I haven't worn them for eons, they are rather fab!
I also have these from Whistles https://www.whistles.com/product/dahlia-lace-up-boot-30641.html#cgid=BootsShoess_WW&is=false&sz=60&start=0&isSecondPage=false&pid=dahlia-lace-up-boot-30641&pos=4
The most comfortable heels I own.

whatisthisinhere · 14/11/2021 20:39

Ah, I realise they are nothing like the ones you want, sorry Blush

I have a pair of the Esska Fink. I do really like them but the toe hole is annoyingly large so too much toe(s) escapes and is then painful. This is exacerbated by the heel so your weight forces your feet through the hole as you walk.

Plus the sides are a bit gappy- I don't have slim feet but even mine don't fill the shoe out. Slim/narrow feet would look really odd in these.

It's such a shame as I love the style but I never reach for these shoes.
