Gloves for small hands?

Can anyone suggest where buy a decent pair of gloves from? My hands are apparently unusually small. S and XS in every shop I've ever tried are too big and give me long flappy bits at the end of my fingers so I can't do anything at all with them on. For the last few years, I've just ended up wearing Accesorize's mitten/fingerless glove combos but they make me look like a toddler, and they're not very well made so often fall apart mid winter, and often in ways that are challenging to mend. I have terrible circulation and end up with numb fingers very quickly (and destroying the skin on my hands) so going without isn't realistic. I have a dog and child so can't always keep my hands in my pockets either. I do have merino inners, but they're not much use without actual gloves.

Not a massive fan of leather gloves, but that may be because I have never found any that fit. Budget is open, if they look nice, will last, and, most importantly, fit me. I can't be the only person with tiny frozen hands! Any ideas?

I also have tiny hands. Ring size is an 'i' which my family think is hilarious.
I have Barbour leather gloves in size small. Specifically these ones but they have lots of styles to suit;

I have small hands and only buy Dents gloves as the fit is great for me. I’m XS. They have a measuring guide on their website.

I have tiny hands and buy Italian made cashmere lined leather gloves from tkmaxx in small or extra small

JaceLancs · 03/11/2021 22:43

In dents I’m a 6.5

I have the same problem and the solution is plain kids’ magic gloves.

Could you cut the tips off gloves and sew them up again if you want woolly gloves?

icecreamconeworm · 03/11/2021 22:56

Thank you all, I'll check out Barbour, Dents, and TKMax. Good idea about sewing up the fingers too, I might give that a go if nothing else works out.

M&S have some leather ones that come in a small. I've got relatively long fingers but they, and my hands, are narrow and they're the best fitting gloves I've found yet

I use John Lewis and they have pairs (various brands) starting at a Small which is a 6.5 size.

Ohhh thanks so much for this thread. My neverending problem.

Pinkywoo · 04/11/2021 11:22

I wear kids magic gloves, they fit perfectly and come in plain black or grey if you don't want to look like a cbeebies presenter!

I'm built like an ox, so don't have that problem, but my tiny, dainty mum and sisters all wear Dents, or buy from independent leather goods shops which seem to stock loads of different sizes.
