The perfect black coat

Just that! I've spent the last few years looking for the perfect black coat with no luck. Budget up to £200 but could go over for the right thing. Looking for a smart, warm coat that I can dress up or down. I'm 5 foot 1 and live in long skirts so don't want to end up looking frumpy! Thanks in advance.

I feel your pain! I would recommend Hobbs! They have their 'Tilda' coat - looks pretty timeless, just a bit above budget and comes in a petite version? Don't think it'll look frumpy but I guess depends on what type of long skirts you were (pleated? Knitted? Kilt?) Good luck with the search let us know what you pick!
