DP and I are getting married at a registry office and then going for a meal with our parents. I want to wear a white/Ivory/cream dress, but I don’t want to feel ridiculous sat in a restaurant.

What sort of thing would you go for?

Oooh, when are you getting married?

If winter time I’d go for a 40s vintage style- below knee length maybe, with a nice faux fur coat or wrap to make it a bit less “flashing neon bride sign”; oh and one of those cute little hats with the bit of veil coming down over your eyes.
Mainly because that’s what I wore for mineGrin. Though my dress was a sort of gold tweed with cream flecks.
I still wear it to occasional posh events 7 years later!

What kinds of thing do you like? What age and size are you? Are there are any parts of your body you'd like to hide or show off?

RedLemon · 02/11/2021 19:22

This sort of thing but with golden brown fur trimmings or coat and maybe a different colour for shoes/bag etc.

Does it have to be a dress? What about a suit or a jumpsuit

I’m a size 12-14, hoping to be a 10 by the time of the wedding, next october. I’d like to cover my back, I think I’d like to show some cleavage. Clothes wise I ’ve always been a bit more ‘alternative’ but not dramatically so. I’ll be 30.

These are gorgeous, but I always go ‘comfortable’ so I’d love to wear a dress for this one day

Would something silvery work rather than cream/white - still stunning but not too bridal?

Ted Baker (also on sale) :

Oh I love some of these
I hadn’t thought about silvery as an option either
Thank you!
