I can't decide! The second is a plum colour.

I think the pale one looks better.

ApolloandDaphne · 02/11/2021 17:45

I think the paler one looks better too but it is likely to get dirty very easily. Is it washable?

fantasmasgoria1 · 02/11/2021 17:49

Neither. But the darker one would be better as it would show dirt far less.

SirVixofVixHall · 02/11/2021 17:50

I like the plum .

CocoandCleo · 02/11/2021 17:51

I think the lighter is better but as has been mentioned it will show up dirt far easier

Durbeyfield · 02/11/2021 18:02

The darker one is better.

namechangedaily · 02/11/2021 18:04

Nope not the second, the first!

The darker one

GoodnightGrandma · 02/11/2021 18:08

The lighter one. You look slimmer in it.

mrsm43s · 02/11/2021 18:27

@GoodnightGrandma

The lighter one. You look slimmer in it.
I think this too. But the coats look identical in style, so maybe that's just camera angle?
AnnaSW1 · 02/11/2021 18:27

The darker one. The light one is a bit middle-age-beige

DoodleBelle · 02/11/2021 18:33

I think the lighter one looks better with light jeans and agree that the camera angle makes you look slimmer in that one but I actually prefer the plum one.

CrystalMaisie · 02/11/2021 18:48

I think the lighter one looks nicer.

MandalaYogaTapestry · 02/11/2021 18:54

Neither. The cut is very unflattering

peachgreen · 02/11/2021 22:14

Neither, sorry. The belt cuts you in half horribly and it's a weird length - it needs to be shorter or longer!

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 03/11/2021 21:31

I'm not keen on this style in you either OP. The belt is very unflattering.

Bluntness100 · 03/11/2021 21:35

Honestly neither, you can get warm stylish coats better than those.

If you really must though, thr darker one.

Anordinarymum · 03/11/2021 21:52

I have the same coat OP I have it in a greeny brown sort of colour. It is a Phase Eight?

I expect it looks different in RL than in the pics. The light colour is a bit naff.

I wear mine for walking the dog and it always looks OK.
Get the darker one. If it is a Phase Eight, I can tell you it will keep you warm and hold it's shape. I have had mine for years and it still looks like when I first bought it.
When it gets dirty I wash it in the machine, line dry it and then fluff it up in the tumbler.
Perfect !

The belt is so unflattering!

I would go for a similar coat which is longer and in an olive green and slightly slimmer in the cut.

EllaPaella · 03/11/2021 22:14

If you want the belted style specifically then I would go for a longer version. Out of the two I prefer the lighter one but not massively keen on it (sorry).

Pixilulu · 03/11/2021 22:44

Very dated old fashioned style and the purple colour is awful. I also think winter coats should be a bit longer for warmth and protect from the rain.

ALittleBitWorrriedNow · 04/11/2021 00:01

Prefer the plum colour but I do think a longer style would be more flattering

Oddbutnotodd · 04/11/2021 03:16

Neither. It’s too short waisted on you. Agree a coat should be longer. Prefer the paler coloured one.

spotcheck · 04/11/2021 06:52

@Eternallyfrazzled

Purple coats are old lady coats! Seriously I really regret buying my Uniqlo purple puffer as everywhere I go I see old lady’s in the same colour coat and I already feel like I look older than I am these days!
And, your point? Because, heaven forbid, who wants to look like an 'old lady'. That's like, the worst insult ever 🤬
