That are actually high waisted?

I've purchased 2 pairs of high waist jeans, different styles, from Other Stories which fit great but they just aren't high waisted enough. I have a ridiculously long torso and these jeans come at least an inch under the smallest part of my waist.

I'd ideally like straight leg or slim leg style jeans.

I'm 5ft5.5 , 25waist and pear shape (I think) if that helps

I'm 5 foot 6 and 32 inch waist (41 inch hips) and pear. I tried on a good pair of slim high waist jeans in Uniqlo the other day. I only didn't get them as I am little overweight and they were clingy. I needed them to be wide legged.

Monki - I have their Taiki jeans and they have a pretty high waist.

Levis. Any of the high waist ones. I'm 5 foot 9 and most of it is torso and these actually reach my waist.

Next - enhancer or lift and shape.

Uniqlo , my daughter is 5’5” and she got some high waisted skinny jeans and says they are the most comfortable ones she’s ever had ,

Another vote for Levis - their 70s high waisted jeans come in several shapes.

I've got some M&S Harper jeans which are going on eBay as the waist is too high for me - disappointing as I love the look of them. I love a high waist generally but these are just too much (I am quite short). I have seen a lot of love for them elsewhere so they might be worth a look?

Arket straight leg are high waisted on me. I'm 5'4", pear with 25inch waist, 34inch hips, if that helps you. However, I haven't had them long so don't know if they hold their shape nicely yet.

I don't recommend Zara jeans, they look great for half a day then become very misshapen and stretched out, disappointing.

Levis 501 were not high waisted enough for me. Levis Ribcage Straight hit really nice on the waist and hip area, but I felt they were a bit wide at the bottom, however, that is very much personal taste and you might like them. Not tried the 70's ones mentioned above.

I feel you OP. I am 5'6 with a long torso and I have never found any jeans with a truly high rise. I looked up the Levis 724 for instance - the quoted rise was 10.25" which just doesn't seem high enough.

There was a fairly recent Reddit thread where people were discussing jeans with 12-13" rises which I think is what we need!

The advice is US-oriented but if I was looking for new jeans I would read that thread first.

Measure the distance from crotch to smallest part of waist and that will tell you what rise measurement you need to be on the lookout for.

@SummaLuvin I gave up with zara jeans years ago, they are to straight up and down if that makes sense, not designed for someone with hips and a bum! Will look at the ribcage ones, I think they will be high enough for me!

@BlairWaldorfLovesShopping I did my measurements and I think the 724 will be too short for me too. I've decided to keep the other stories jeans, I tried them again (and again, and again!) And they are quite close to the smallest part of my waist so I think I can live with that (they are do comfy!)

I'll make sure to check measurements online before ordering in future 😃
