Chelsea Boots

I just bought some Chelsea boots I was debating some from Toast but finally settled on Lanx, a Lancashire based brand, but I'm not sure. They are beautifully made and super comfy but they feel very chunky. I'm 45 and like dresses and tights in winter. I'm rubbish with links but will try in the next post.

lanxshoes.com/collections/womens-boots/products/Reed-black what do you think?

I like them. Thanks for the link.

I have some that are similar to the Toast ones. They were cheaper by quite a bit

KirstenBlest · 01/11/2021 19:20

Are they comfortable?

FoggySpecs · 01/11/2021 19:23

I looked at those, I sort of wish I had gone for them. They have thinner sole but is the leather quite soft? I'm not good if it is too rigid and the ones I got are quite supple. I got 15%,off so they were £148 which I thought was good value.

Gorgeous, in fact I've added them to my shortlist of which Chelsea Boot to buy this winter.

Very comfortable, I wore them on the school run and walked to the shops today and they felt fine.

Nice to see a British business and lots of lovely footwear.

They do repairs too. I need to get off that site before I spend any money.

My boots need breaking in but I don't usually wear chelsea boots so am not sure when they'll be suitable for something like an all day shopping trip.

PinkSkiesAtNight · 01/11/2021 20:15

I love those boots! I've been toying with getting some, either like that, or some DMs, for a while, but I'm fairly short and rather curvy, and I always think I'd look a bit stumpy in them! I feel as if I need something more dainty at the end of my legs.

SparklingLime · 01/11/2021 20:15

They look great.

They are a very good example of the type of Chelsea boot that is current. However I know what you mean about the chunkiness making you not so sure about them.

I tried a similar pair last week and they just weren’t for me. I’m 46 and 5’4 and they made my feet look out of proportion to my head.

To be fair, I don’t think it was the particular boot that did this, more that the whole trend isn’t for me.

DramaAlpaca · 02/11/2021 01:22

I like those boots a lot.

JunieSpoony · 02/11/2021 01:27

I like them, and am also on the hunt for Chelsea boots, so thanks for the link. I haven’t tried any on and am also a bit worried about massive chunky feet as compared with knee boots.

Greytminds · 02/11/2021 01:35

I think they’re lovely too. I’m also eying up various pairs. I follow Wearsmymoney on Instagram and she shared a couple of pairs that looked good, including some from air and grace. There’s also an all saints pair I’ve been considering. Both quite chunky styles….
