Sleep headphones/headband

Not sure if s&b is the right place for this but I thought you lot may know!

Any recommendations for some headphones to use at night/fall asleep to? I've seen some that are encased in a headband or even a sleep mask that look appealing but it seems difficult to distinguish between the brands?

I used to use the sleep phones by Acoustic Sheep from amazon, very popular and come in various sizes. They were decent quality and fit, but rather expensive, but it depends how urgent a need it is for you, and they are very comfortable.

One issue had with all brands was they do flatten your hair, depending how far you place them back from forehead and can feel hot in summer.

I eventually bought some much cheaper ones for the sweat wicking band and placed the more quality phones into it.

Sound quality generally great for bed and device use.

The acoustic sheep ones also have a cable free version but it is even more expensive. Over all I went through a few sets of these and only the first one (in 2013) was iffy.

Ah thank you. I hadn't thought about the sweat aspect.

Are you saying you put the acoustic sheep headphones into a different brand band?

I've seen ones from Dormiphones and Snoozeband, they look like they may be less hot?

I tried a few at the time and liked them all to be honest, even a pair of very cheap ones were comfy and with ok sound quality. If not ready to commit to the more expensive I would def try the others out. I was just as comfy sleeping in the cheaper ones as the AcousticSheep.

Some are Mae of jersey, but mostly synthetic - I actually got tired of the thick, hot band of the AcousticSheep and gently threaded the headphones out. You can do this as the bands are washable so it is safe to remove the wires. I then out them into another band that was more comfy.
At a push you could make your own band in any fabric and thread the headphones into that. Many options, haha!

The good thing is most of the flat disc shaped phones are comfy and designed to be slept on, so the phones are more important than the band iyswim?

That's really helpful, thank you!
