Hairdresser dying roots

Does anyone know if the hairdresser will be able to dye my roots only a different colour to the rest of my hair?

I'm aware they can touch up roots to the same colour if you have grey/natural coming through but is it easy enough to do roots a different colour?

I have recently had my hair done a very bright copper colour. I love it on my main hair but I think it's a bit much at the roots and wish I'd kept my roots a bit darker flowing into the copper. Can I go back and do this now? 😭

Give it a month and you'll have your dark roots.

Yes you can. Painted in roots is a thing now because people don’t want their hair looking too done.

Yeah it should be fine to do a root melt/smudge or turn the copper into more of a balayage?

I would wait until your next appointment- by then the main colour will have faded and you will have natural roots. Ask your hairdresser to redye the main hair but leaving some chunks undyed so it looks multi tonal. Then ask them to do the top part darker.

Yep! I get a root melt on mine
