Açai - thermal skinny… anyone has them?

I just got a couple of sizes of the thermal skinny outdoor trousers. Does anyone have them? Do they give in a bit or not?
Basically, I am unsure if to keep my size (28) or a size up , the size up still fits me but is not super skinny on me, however I do not like skin tight clothing in g

Posted too soon!
… in general. I am worried the size up my stretch a bit , which won’t be good. Or the ‘right’ size might be a bit skin tight on those days after xmas when one over indulges..
thanks!

I'm usually an 18 to 20, and bought the 20 but they're massively oversized on the waist and legs. I wouldn't call them skinny fit at all, and I'm a bit disappointed tbh given the cost.

They do however seem fully waterproof. I just wear them over the top of my usual jeggings when walking the dogs, and then leave them hanging to dry. They're not the all rounders I'd hoped for in terms of being able to leave them on for work.

I just received a pair last week in Aubergine. I love them so much I’ve worn them to death already and am planning on buying a second pair. I think I will be mostly living in these throughout the winter.
I am a small size 12 with menopausal tummy - ordered a 12 and the waist is a wee bit snug but I have been losing weight so not worried about this as still a few pounds to go. Other than this they are a really nice flattering slim fit, but not skin tight. Not sure if they will stretch out a bit in time but the quality is really good so I don’t think this will be a problem as they seem so well made. Worn them for dog walking in some pretty awful weather and I’ve barely noticed. I usually feel the cold terribly but the fleece lining is so cosy and the waterproof works really well.

These look great for walking in the winter; more stylish than my existing walking trousers - they flap a bit - I wear thermal leggings underneath on really cold days.
So does the waistband dig in OP? You sound a similar size to me and I don't want uncomfortably tight either. I'd usually buy 28 inch waist jeans btw

@highlandcoo, @EssexLioness thanks for the feedback. I am normally a 28 jeans too, 5.7 height, but very much straight up and down. I tried them both and actually the 28 does not dig in at the waist so I might keep those as the 30 bunches around the crotch area when I move about … not a good look.
I love the fleece on them very soft.

@BrilloPaddy thanks I agree they are not suitable all rounders as in wear them for work, but I was looking for walking trousers only so I am not concerned about that.
