Spf & retinol for dry, sensitive 40+ skin?

Anyone with dry, sensitive skin and can recommend SPF for day to day use and possibly also retinol? I'm just over 40 and generally my skin is quite good, except sensitive (I've had reaction for example to Aveeno cream in my face). I'm thinking of trying Paula's choice Resist Anti-Aging Retinol Serum as it's' available to try on travel size (due to sensitive skin) so interested in feedback on it, but open to other suggestions as well.

I've got really sensitive skin and the retinol from boots ingredients or the inky list are very good and I've really noticed a difference I'm mid 40s.
I wouldn't splash out on fancy retinol after discovering those two .
Can't help with spf though I just use a day cream with spf and a foundation with added spf .
I'm olive skinned though maybe different if you're fair or sun sensitive.

Instead of the retinol, I would get a tretinoin prescription from Skin & Me or Dermatica. Both will take into account your specific skin concerns and the first month is free (just pay p&p). They can start you on a low dose and then if you reorder they up it gradually.

Agree get a prescription.

I've tried tons of Spf - I think the mildest and best for dry is the Altruist one and it's pretty cheap from Amazon.

I've been using Medik 8 crystal retinol. I started on 1 which is specifically for sensitive skin. I then moved on to no 3.
I've always found LRP SPF good for my skin.

I use Inkey list mineral SPF for my face and I love it. I have very sensitive/reactive skin.

for spf love la roche posay anthelios age correct. I have dry sensitive skin and rosacea - it’s best I’ve found and it’s a spf 50. Feels nice to go on.
