Advice for using rollers please!

I’ve had some Velcro rollers for years that I could never get the hang of. Tried them out a few days ago and I LOVE them. I took them out and my hair was wavy and bouncy and to be honest the best my hair has ever looked.

My problem is that the waves/curls stay in for about half an hour before falling out! I’ve always hated my hair, it’s not straight but not curly and has never flattered me. Now I’ve finally found a way that I like it and I just can’t get it to hold.

I’m currently using a mousse and heat protectant spray. Any advice would be so appreciated.

Sure I read somewhere that you should brush section of the hair, spray section with hairspray and then put it in the roller.

If you like the effect of rollers , you could invest in some heated rollers. I know this is a pretty dated method but I still get far better results this way than any other .

I straighten a section of my hair and then add the roller while the hair is still hot. Once I've done all sections like that I spray with hairspray leave for 10 mins to cool and set and then take out. My hair stays for a few days doing it that way.
