Has anyone had this done? I've decided to take the plunge and get threads in my jaw/jowl area.

Does it hurt? What is the bruising like?

I've had this done twice now. It doesn't actually hurt during the procedure as numbing cream goes in with the first injection, but it feels strange and there is some skin tugging which it's best not to think about if you're squeamish! After the numbness wore off there was some discomfort, like low level tooth ache, but nothing major. There can also be a sharp pain now and again when you move your face in a certain way and the barbs of the threads catch. You can lightly massage the area and it stops, but it can be alarming if you're not prepared for it and can carry on for a few weeks. As far as bruising goes, the first time I had some, the second none at all. There may be some visible holes at the entry point too near the ear. Not a problem for me as my hair covered it. I was really happy with the results at the 3 week point and for about 18m after, at which point I had it redone.

Thanks @5128gap that's all good to know. At least with my jowls I can wear a scarf for a bit. Yours must have been good to get it down again!
