I was looking for some nice ‘seasonal but not in your face with reindeers on’ Christmas socks for my sister. I found them, but also this

They’re over the knee woollen socks. Not stockings, not 10 or 20 denier ‘socks’. Wool. Socks.

I can’t help feeling like I’ve missed something. Nearly everything else they sell just shows legs or is modelled on a slightly pointy invisible foot.

There’s a back view too. In case, you know, the socks look different from behind. And the model has helpfully taken off her bra so it doesn’t interfere with the sock viewing.

I was planning on looking for a new winter scarf but I don’t know if it will get through safe search.

I hadn’t looked at the tights section. That is not hygienic.

I get emails from a tights company. Their brand images don't seem to have moved on from 1981 either. No wonder it's so hard to find comfortable tights that stay put - the industry must be male dominated, no?

Ah. That explains it. I might expect it for stockings but only men could make tights about sex.

I had a look at the men's stockings and the male models are in posing pouches.
