What do you all like to wear for a special evening in - say dinner with family and friends, celebration meal with DP, or just changing out of work clothes for Saturday night favourite takeaway and box set?

For dinner with friends at my house, if I'm hosting, prob jeans and a nice top. If dinner is at theirs then maybe a sort of shift dress with flats or boots. Watching Netflix and chill- leggings and a cosy jumper.

As a family we had four birthdays in lockdown between January and the end of March. Because we couldn’t go out to celebrate we splurged on beautiful food and set the dining room table with silver and crystal. I always wore a smart blouse and trousers and heels and did a full face of makeup and hair in beachy waves. It made me feel like I was in a posh restaurant. As awful as lockdown was they were times we won’t forget.

If we were having people round or going to someone’s house, at this time of year I would wear jeans and a nice jumper. In summer it would be jeans and a blouse, or a midi dress.

If it’s just me and DP having dinner in our own home, I’m in comfy clothes. Right now that’s leopard print joggers and a mohair jumper I was wearing to work earlier. In summer leggings and a tee.
