What to wear on feet with rolled over jeans?

I’m at a loss! Been loving my rolled over jeans with white trainers and trainer socks, but that looks ridiculous in winter and so do socks? Do I need new jeans? I am short so keen to avoid leg shortening looks (the summer look was a bit, but so comfy and I felt unusually ‘on-trend’, maybe only a year late 🤣).

No idea but I need to know too!

I am not v happy with it but my solution so far has been converse trainers and proper (not trainer) socks with a bold pattern like leopard print or bright stripes, so the socks are saying "I know everyone can see my socks".

A better solution could be high top trainers?

Ditto, I don't want to give up my rolled up jeans! I still wear them with boots, but occasionally worry that I look like a wannabe 80s punk...

Well that’s no help 🤣. Glad I’m not alone though! Going shopping in half an hour - with cold ankles.

You need boots or hi tops that come higher up your ankle. With socks showing.

I'm wearing Whistles Asha boots with mine so far.
I also like the look of dark trainers & nice socks, I have navy new balance & I bought some lovely socks in Anthropologie last year which look good when seen in the gap between ankle & trainer
Chelsea boots are another option, not the more traditional short ones but lots of the chunkier styles come up longer on the leg. I'm currently eyeing up a lovely burgundy pair also from whistles

Another vote for thick soles Chelsea Boots - M and S have a brilliant pair. They come up a little higher which is the more modern look and suits these jeans.

If you don’t want Chelsea boots, then biker or hiking boots that come up just above your ankle (like the Grenson Nanette - there are loads of cheaper options but that is the style).

Popping back to see if anyone has come along with good solutions.

Yes I think it's a good pair of boots that come up far enough and some statement socks. Last night I went to the pub with the turn up jeans, biker style ankle boots and some green leopard print socks with gold bits. Felt like a good look.

I want some really good patterned socks that come right up the calves, so I don't get skin showing if the jeans ride up when I sit down. Any suggestions for that? Will check out Anthropologie

I wear chunky socks and DMs, but I wear loose jeans rather than skinnies.
