Is it worth it and what's the best discount code out there? Thanks Smile

I use it and like it but it's a long term thing. Took me about 6 months to see a difference and tretinoin is a long haul if your prescription has that. Must use SPF

ELIZABER59JT Will get you your first month free.

I’ve been using it for nearly a year and it’s made big difference. Tried Dermatica first for a few months but moved onto to skin + me just to see the difference and stayed with it.

It’s made a big difference to fine lines and acne. Also made a good difference to lines in neck which I was surprised about.

I've been using for about 6 months and love it. The difference to my skin has been amazing!

ChocAuVin · 24/10/2021 22:20

I love it! Welcome to PM for my discount code

HunterHearstHelmsley · 24/10/2021 22:20

I love it! A lot of friends have commented that I'm "glowing" recently. HELENL5XFU will give you a free month.

annabannan · 24/10/2021 22:45

Pretty sure everyone's discount codes will offer you the same discount so I wont add mine. I've found their customer service responsive (when I wanted advice or wanted to change formula). It isn't a quick fix, depending what they describe (tretinoin) your skin may get worse before it gets better if treating acne, and tretinoin can cause peeling and/or discomfort. It takes a few months to see the start of the best result (they advise 3-6). I think value wise £20 a month is ok if you're getting strong active ingredients such as tretinoin, but less so if they're just prescribing acids. My first two vials were just azaleic acid and niacinimide for example, which can be purchased far cheaper just about anywhere. I emailed and they did change the formula after this.

I recommend it though, my skin has changed for the better and nothing else has ever helped. I will be continuing with it.

SlamLikeAGuitar · 25/10/2021 08:42

I love it!
I’ve just finished month 5, about to start month 6.
Im breastfeeding, so no Tret in my prescription - just azelaic acid and niacinamide. After around month 3, I saw a marked difference. I only get the odd hormonal spot around my chin in the run up to my period, and they heal and disappear way faster than before. Also don’t leave the dark marks behind once they’ve healed.
Im now starting to see a noticeable improvement on my hyperpigmentation and scarring from old breakouts.
I did have an initial purge during the first month, but that cleared up quickly and it’s been pretty plain sailing since!

Does everyone use the recommended products alongside? Are they quite good with their recommendations?

HostessTrolley · 25/10/2021 12:05

Depending on what your skin concerns are, it might be worth looking at dermatica. If you’re wanting tretinoin, skin and me tend to include this in much lower quantities - about a quarter! I also wasn’t keen on the base cream that skin and me use - it’s vaguely peanutty in smell (I’m sure it doesn’t contain nuts, but it has a vague smell like peanut). Both are about the same price and similar systems, I have found both to be similarly responsive in terms of customer service. I tried skin and me because the packaging is a bit better but went back to dermatica because I preferred the actual cream, my perception is that it helps my skin more - but everyone is looking for different things x

Another really happy subscriber here. Dermatica broke me out and i found there customer service terrible. Skin +Me has been great for my skin. If anyone wants to tey for free you can use my code CAROLINE59PU

Shmithecat2 · 25/10/2021 12:32

I'm liking it. Just started month 4. Have noticed a mild difference in the texture of my skin already. I cleanse, apply Skin and Me, let it sit for about 10 mins, then use Rosehip oil as my moisturiser before bed which helps combat any flakiness or dryness. Currently on 0.018 Tret, with 4% of both niacinamide and azelaic.

SlamLikeAGuitar · 27/10/2021 07:29

@Confusedbear91 I don’t.
I use Beauty Bay’s own brand cleansing balm (camomile and oat lipid) followed by carbon theory solid bar to double cleanse at night, followed by skin+me and a light moisturiser (can’t remember the brand off the top of my head!).
Then in the morning I do a quick swipe with the carbon theory bar, followed by The Ordinary spf.
I also do the Ordinary peeling solution once a week and the occasional pink clay mask

TheCategoryIs · 27/10/2021 11:18

I've used Dermatica for over a year now and it's been brilliant for my multitude of skin issues. I did try out Skin and Me on the free trial as it has such a good write up here but didn't found the slip on the formula as easy to apply and the measured dispenser didn't seem to give me very much. I have also used tret for a number of years and they seem to have very low doses in their formulas, which is very good if you are sensitive to it, and I didn't want to go backwards and have my skin need to build up tolerance again.

I just wish these services had been around 15 years ago!

I don't either.

Mine is just cleanser and moisturiser in the evening, cleanser, SPF and moisturiser in the morning.

I use CeraVe moisturisers, vitamin E cleanser from Superdrug and any facial SPF.
