Have decided to try harder (at all things in life) in 2022…. Want to add a subscription beauty box to the list…. Any recommendations?! What would you recommend?? Thanks x

Not Birchbox. I got it last year in the Black Friday sale - several duplicates across the 11 months, rarely any brands you’d recognise or be able to find again, and most months the boxes were late - very late. It was more drama than it’s worth.

Agree not Birchbox.

I had Rocca box for a while, really like most of them, quite luxurious stuff. You also get offers to repurchase some of the previous boxes from time to time which is handy if you really liked something but don’t want to pay full price for one item😁

There’s a youtuber that has loads of different subscriptions and shows what you get with each one, it’s worth having a look through some to get an idea of what you get. Think the channel is ‘DiaryofaBeautyGeek’

Look at FabFitFun

Birchbox, Glossybox etc are all ok to start with especially if you don't already have many products but IME you soon end up with a lot of tat you don't need.

FabFitFun has full size products and you can choose then if you wish. It's really good value for money.

Does it have to be a subscription?
I’ve had two really great Hearst boxes this year - the Harper’s Bazaar and Red boxes.

Nope, it doesn’t, I just don’t know of any alternatives but the Hearst ones sound great!

How about www.latestinbeauty.com/ as you can pick the 6 items you want each month from a list. Includes quite a lot of full sized items and a mix of everyday brands, new smaller companies, and luxury brands such as Nars. As a subscriber you also get discounts on special boxes such as the current excellent Style box by Sarah Jossel of the Sunday Times.
