So after seeing this brand recommended on here , I have been using www.boots.com/beauty/skincare/facial-skincare/moisturiser/cerave-moisturising-cream-pot-340g-10258271

I have dry skin, have to use moisturiser on my face and body else my skin gets tight .

I have been using this cream on my face and body and it’s been fine . Nit too rich.

I was wondering though if it’s worth paying more for the face and hand creams ? Also what are the cleansers like.

Thanks everyone .

I use the same cream as a facial moisturiser, I do buy the tube version which is relatively more expensive but that's just down to me not enjoying sticking my fingers into a pot of cream 🤷

It's very popular as a facial moisturiser so no need not to use it. The facial lotion contains niacinamide which is a great beneficial ingredient for skin barrier health and a lot of people prefer that but I find it a little too light and I'm not even dry (more normal/combo skin but I use tretinoin). People who really like the facial lotion tend to be on the combo/oily side.

I don't think SPF in moisturisers are sufficient protection and prefer a standalone SPF so see no value in the facial SPF moisturiser.

I use the hydrating cleanser and really like it, not stripping and very gentle but potentially not the best choice for truly sensitive skin. The other cleansers tend to be a little bit more stripping in comparison to the hydrating cleanser but are still quite mild.

I've not tried the hand cream, I prefer something with urea in it.

I'm currently using the cream-to-foam hydrating cleanser, I like to wash my face in the shower.
It has an odd slightly soapy smell and on my very dry skin is slightly drying, I'd say, but I always apply moisturiser right after using it. I have not used it to remove make-up.
Not sure if I will buy again, I'd prefer something creamier.

I don't think it's worth spending a lot on Cleanser or moisturiser. I actually prefer the La Roche Posay moisturiser than cerave but it depends what you want.

If you're dry maybe look at a nice hydrating serum and an oil to add in?

If you get the cleanser (the face wash type), get the hydrating one. It’s fab but also, the normal one makes my skin so dry and tight it feels like it’s going to crack.

Thanks everyone . So it seems the hydrating cleanser is good.
And in terms of moisturiser stick to the one I have for face and body .
