Piebald face

Vitiligo has come to stay. Currently I have piebald hands and feet and it’s started around my ears. I know it’s going to gradually creep across my face.
I have a pale complexion, think Russian crossed with Irish, and avoid the sun like a dedicated goth. I struggle with face creams, tints and moisturisers as I hate the feeling of them on my skin. So have little knowledge of what’s available.
I need some ideas to unify my face colour for two or three years while the vitiligo removes what little pigment I posses.
I didn’t think I was especially vain but I am feeling very self conscious and cringy about this.

I had to google piebald and I think maybe you are being a tad hard on yourself but I don’t want to minimise how you feel. When I see people with vitiligo I have never thought it detracts from their beauty but I know I would feel the same as you if I was experiencing it.
In terms of makeup, It’s trickier if you don’t like the feel of creams on your face as the better the camouflage the heavier the product. A good lightweight facial sunblock would help maintain your naturally pale complexion.
Can you tolerate a powder? Some have light reflecting blurring powers that might help and feel quite light.
You would be best placed visiting some makeup counters, the better ones will try the products on your and/or give you little samples to try for a week.

Not sure if any of this is helpful

Have you been referred for a camouflage appointment to see what’s available and trial products? You can then get some products on prescription. www.changingfaces.org.uk/services-support/skin-camouflage-service/

Thank you for those tips and info.
. I think I should probably try some counters now as I could trial products on my hands as they still have tan lines from the summer.
I’ll have a look at the web site as well.
I’m dreading next few summers.

Have you tried VEIL or DERMABLEND? You should be able to get them on prescription. I have Rosacea, so always look red on my nose, cheeks and chin. Like you, I'm pale-skinned. I used to get Veil on prescription years ago, but now just use a green concealer then foundation.

Best of luck.

Thanks, I will add that to my pile of things to try.
