Help me find my fashion way

I need an overhaul. I'm 40, emerging from having very young children and feel a bit lost.

Can anyone tell me the best sustainable/ethical fashion brands - no greenwashing and bang on trend please. If that's at all possible.

And which are your best websites for fashion advice - not just trying to get you to buy stuff. I like to look on trend but am trying to get my head around what's what after not having as much time to prioritise this stuff. As an example, I have key pieces - more relaxed fit jeans, chunky boots, some nice jewellery, but the rest of my wardrobe doesn't really go with it.

I’m not sure that “ethical/sustainable” fashion and “bang on trend” are easy bed fellows. Of course you can buy a cardigan made of organic cotton from People Tree that will be the current style ( it will cost £80) but what happens in 2 years when trends have moved on? There’s a very entertaining book called How to break up with Fast Fashion that explores a lot of the ethical issues with fashion which also name checks lots of ethical fashion brands. I listened to it on Audible. Lots of bloggers like Useless-dk and A Small Wardrobe advocate finding your own style and shopping second hand. Also loads of influencers on Instagram style using second hand clothes but they still tend to shop a lot. I can name check a few if your interested.
