Stretch jersey pyjamas?

I always bought pyjamas at Debenhams (RIP Sad ) and really liked the John Rocha ones which were thin jersey material - some sort of cotton mix.
Can’t find anything similar these days. Bought a set from M&S yesterday and they are just OK - I’m a 12/14 and the M fits but is snug and the L was massive!
Also a lot of M&S seem to have thick waistbands which are uncomfortable overnight.

I find traditional buttoned pyjamas uncomfortable and I get too hot unless they are mostly cotton materials.

Any ideas?

I don’t wear PJ’s to sleep in, I wear them instead of a dressing gown.
I like the ones from Next, and they have pockets which is a bonus !
And they almost a brushed cotton material.

Big fan of Tesco and peacocks pjs here. Don’t buy anything else there but pjs are great!

These are good! I’m like you I don’t like buttons on pyjamas

SnarkyBag · 23/10/2021 08:12

I have these and they’re lovely and comfy

I also find fat face good for pj’s

Jng1 · 23/10/2021 08:16

Aren’t fat face all thick rigid heavy cotton though ( not jersey fabric)?

I sleep on my front sometimes and I can’t bear buttons or bulky cord ties at the front etc

I used to get mine from Debenhams too. Just got some really similar from Matalan & I’d searched everywhere online.

I got the super soft navy modal pyjama set

No mine are stretchy and soft

Jersey ones from Lands End. No buttons, soft and stretchy. Bit annoying that they only do long sleeves and legs, ideal for winter, but I’d love a t-shirt and knee length shorts pair for summer, too.

Yes, all the ones I used to like were a cotton/ modal mix - they had a nice drapey feel them without being too thick!

Also I’m not sure about the current trend for cuff bottoms - remind me of toddler pjs!

Second cyberjammies

Geamhradh · 23/10/2021 08:27

I also used to have Debenhams gorgeous pyjamas.
Now have Lands End which are OK, but still not as good as Debs.

MissFritton65 · 23/10/2021 10:30

I've just bought some from Aldi of all places and am really impressed! They were £9.99, available in a limited range of colours and you can buy them online.

Crackletranton · 23/10/2021 10:45

I got some in TK Maxx, so a bit of a gamble but might be worth a look? They're so soft and comfortable.

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/10/2021 11:11

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-star-print-short-sleeve-pyjama-set/p/clp60468319?intid=mobileappppdpshare

These are lovely, soft, not heavy and don't have a thick waistband.

NautaOcts · 23/10/2021 11:13

I’ve got the Cyberjammies ones too and they’re ok, but I don’t like the cuffed trousers either, and they are expensive for what they are
