How to wear these DMs?

So, I have these and love them. Will they break in eventually if I keep wearing them? I think I need thick ‘invisible’ socks?! Is that even a thing? They seem to work with jeans showing a bit of ankle, but trainer socks peel out and look awful, and aren’t really thick enough anyway! Ideas...? TIA.

So I’m currently working on my Sinclairs with my main issue being that my foot moves too much and I get blisters at the back. The DM insoles are great and have helped quite a bit and I’m literally just fitting some heal grips. These options might negate the need for thick trainer socks
Otherwise options are statement crew socks or preventative blister plasters

Just wear them with thicker socks, around the house. Do you have the doc martens balm stuff? It helps a lot.

Chunky socks in an interesting colour that contrast with the boots and jeans

DMs sell their own socks that are designed to pad the areas where rubbing generally occurs. I've got several pairs.

On a side note, as a size 5, my latest purchases are probably a size larger than I actually am. I think footwear is designed as unisex now, but that only works for males.

You need to buy some dubbin and rub it in to soften the leather.

StillRowing · 22/10/2021 22:41

I’ve got those! My only pair that have never given me blisters!!
