Good quality T-shirts

Yes I know, the question is a little boring, but where can I get decent quality plain T-shirts in neutral colours?

I’m breastfeeding and want to layer T-shirts over vests. I really dislike the thin almost see-through material a lot of women’s T-shirts are made from. Much prefer the thick cotton of men’s T-shirts, but the shoulders are too big/hips too narrow/long.

I’d prefer a less fitted shape, something easy to hoik up (sp?) for feeding my little boy.

Any ideas? Suggestions gratefully received. Thanks!

Uniqlo is usually good for this, although you need to check the descriptions and photos carefully because they sell so many different types of tops and tees.

HollieZ · 22/10/2021 13:36

Ahh good shout! Will take a look 🙂

Came on to suggest uniqlo

If you want cheap, get v-neck mens ones from pimark

TuftyRusty · 22/10/2021 19:14

I love sunspel t-shirts but they are a little pricey.

missmoon · 23/10/2021 09:39

I’ve discovered Rapanui, v good quality and nice colours.

I like the Uniqlo T-shirts especially their ones made of 'Supreme' sp?! Material. They're soft with a bit of stretch and wash well.

Squiz81 · 23/10/2021 19:34

Another vote for Rapanui.

ppp4321 · 23/10/2021 19:37

Another vote for Uniqlo. The cotton doesn't bobble and I think is excellent quality for the price.

Crispynoodle · 23/10/2021 20:04

Oh my I'm a sheeple went strap to rapanui and ordered lol

Bavarois · 23/10/2021 20:09

H&M 100% cotton t-shirts are thick (and fairly cheap).

NotMyCat · 23/10/2021 20:29

Next do one called oversize, you can size down in them! They're not fitted, I had one on today
This is tucked in

Good quality T-shirts

Weekday are good for tshirts. Wash well and lots of styles and colours.

nopuppiesallowed · 25/10/2021 18:15

@NotMyCat
Thank you for the photo. Think I'll order it!

Sooverthemill · 25/10/2021 18:18

Arket, rapuni, lavender hill, Boden and M&S

crosshatching · 25/10/2021 18:22

I like Muji shirts and t-shirts, nice quality I always check in the sales.

ItsDinah · 25/10/2021 18:29

Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Marks and Spencer Classic range.

nopuppiesallowed · 25/10/2021 19:27

I gave up on M and S tee shirts long ago. The H and M ones didn't have as good a colour range but they washed much better.

I bought 6 of these, I bought xl and I’m a size 16 top.

These are the thick cotton and they wash well.

I will buy more, they are great colours and I like the fit, very cheap too

MaverickDanger · 25/10/2021 20:42

Tried the Rapanui ones and they weren’t thick enough for what I wanted.

Had great success with the Arket heavyweight ones. Flattering fit, good length & excellent thickness/weight to them.

HollieZ · 26/10/2021 11:00

So many good suggestions thanks everyone!

@mantlepiece I prefer a slightly longer sleeve but I wonder if Gildan has more styles. Probably! My work uniform is Gildan.

Colourful Standard, nice and thick and soft.

Also surprisingly Next basics. Slightly thinner but good in dark colours.
