Help - Christening outfit

I'm going to a christening in a church at the end of the November. What do I wear? What's acceptable in church? I'm tall and around a size 12.

I wote smart jeans and a silk shirt to the last christening I went to. You can wear anything really. I’d go for what you’d wear to a lunch out.

The only ones that really stand out at our church baptisms are the Teens/young 20s in the baptism party, that have turned up looking like they've dressed up for a night of clubbing. I think it is disrepectful to turn up at church in hot pants, midriffs on show, low cut, spilling out your bra tops. If you wear a tea dress, you'll look part of the general congregation Wink

Actually, thinking about it, the ones who’ve dresses as if they’re going to a wedding with hats stand out a bit.

Could I wear a denim jacket or not really? I have a mid length black and white dress, black ankle boots and then demin jacket?

Yes, denim jacket would be fine. That outfit sounds lovely.

Thanks @PurpleDaisies I'll go with that then.
