Midaxi - what do we think?

I'm bored sick of my clothes and am mainly a dress wearer. I'm 6ft, plus size and have always stuck to maxi and knee length dresses. Midaxis are everywhere but I'm not sure if they look terribly frumpy on me, or am I just out of my comfort zone here. What shoes or boots to wear in the winter to go with them too?

Try a few different ones

Life is too short not to wear cute dresses

I'm sure there are plenty of midaxi dresses that will suite your frame

As you all tall maybe flat boots or kitten heel boots that go to the knee - higher than we here the dress ends. Or cowboys boots in like a lovely tan brown that are shorter than the dress

Type in on google images winter plus size midaxi dresses and look at their shoes there seems to be a lot of ankle boots going on so maybe what I said is a no no

I was thinking of knee high boots as I dont like the legs sticking out underneath if that makes sense. I've always seen this length as really unflattering so even if I like the style it's hard to see past that.

I know what your saying but if your 6ft I feel like you could get some really stunning flowing dresses that will look beautiful on a taller woman

Anoisagusaris · 22/10/2021 00:10

Is a midaxi the same as a midi??

Mermaidwaves · 22/10/2021 00:12

Thankyou Smile sometimes being taller can be so tricky with dress lengths, they can fall in strange places and I spent years trying to find maxi dresses that were long enough so this feels weird. I will google some plus size bloggers and see what they can look like though.

I think midaxi is a bit longer, on me just a bit of ankle showing which feels like it's too short!

I know what you mean .

Have a look at some bloggers and go from there.

On the upside google just told me knee high boots do go with midaxi dresses

A midaxi is a hemline of a dress or skirt that's in between the midi and maxi. It sits just above the ankle and below the mid-calf. The hemline is versatile and seasonless, teamed with knee-high boots in winter or sandals in the summer months

So the wonderful internet says

Mermaidwaves · 22/10/2021 00:15

I have knee highs so I'm halfway there Smile
