Find me an alternative to Clark's flat pumps for work?

I need comfy flat shoes. Formal more than casual. I usually just wear whatever Clark's offering is but I want navy and they don't seem to have navy flats this year.

Where's a good alternative for something equally comfortable but not too casual?

Are Hamble Oaks from Clark’s an option for you? They come in navy. So comfy!

How about these from Geox?

Sorry posted too soon. Are you ok with ballet flats or are you looking for brogues or something? What about ankle boots?

SapphosRock · 21/10/2021 18:41

How about these? V comfy and cosy for winter as well as smart enough for work

Bit more expensive but Gabor are very good.

Boden?

Hotter Robyn flat shoes are in the sale atm. They are so comfy if you are on your feet all day.

ChevreChase · 21/10/2021 21:28

I've been thinking about these, but haven't bought Boden shoes before, so not sure whether they are okay for all day at work

I've had a few pairs of Boden shoes. Never worn any of them much because they've been so uncomfortable.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I did actually order the flip flop ones but sent them back because they were a bit too casual. It's a fine line between comfy and business like!

TK Maxx have navy Clarks ballet pumps in a few sizes - think they are called Chia

AgnesNaismith · 21/10/2021 22:35

I hear you OP, why do work shoes from anywhere else seem to be torture devices? I have plasters on most of my toes and my heels from commuting in inappropriate flats this week and I don’t even have ballerina legs to show for it!

Bumping for more comfy formal-ish shoe ideas.

Oh yes, they are really comfy and smart too. Might they work OP?

I've just bought these

I hate buying shoes. They never fit properly and they always give me blisters. Wearing these are like butter. They are super soft leather and fit like a glove. I highly recommend them.

PackedintheUK · 22/10/2021 07:21

I like the Hamble Oaks. I'd like to be someone who can wear them with skirts and look young and with it, but I fear they make me look like Miss Marple Grin

I think M & S shoes are great, very comfortable and some are quite stylish, especially the more expensive ones- they definitely do navy.
