Graduation dress

I need a dress from my MSc graduation. It has to be dark in colour and go with rest of the outfit. My hood is green, black and white. I have no idea what to get. Any ideas?

Any ideas? I’m in my fifties and a size 10 bottom, sometimes 12 on top. I dress quite young usually and want to look great after all the effort of the degree!

At the risk of appearing needy I’m going to bump this again. I’ve been looking online but can’t find anything! Please help

Look on Baukjen, Wyse, lily & lionel. TAE boutique
For my post grad graduation in 2011 when I was 53 I wore black trousers and a nice blouse and honestly you can't see what I'm wearing under the ginormous gown!

Baukjen do rental too as does LK bennett and Selfridges. For one day that's a good option

www.wyselondon.co.uk/products/aimee-plain-dress-navy-longer-length
This sort of thing ? They have a similar fitted shape in green needlecord.

Another vote for plain black or possibly dark green. And absolutely rental if you won't use it again.

I'd contact the personal shopper service at a couple of places, make appointments to see what they come up with.

What's your budget? It's a graduation and the outfit will be under a gown most of the day, the shops suggested are possibly unnecessarily expensive. You just need a simple black semi-formal dress, what about something like this?

Bideyinn · 03/11/2021 12:51

Thanks for the suggestions! I don’t really have a budget but would prefer not to spend a fortune unless I love it and will wear again.

I really like the wyse dress but its a bit expensive. The Asos is a good suggestion but I’d prefer not black. Rental us a good idea but I’m worried about not being able to try it on first?
