I am looking for brown jeans for 14 YO DD. She is petite, size adult 10. Initially I bought these from pull and bear because of the low waist. As she's short, the high waist fashion adds a lot of bulk to her body: www.pullandbear.com/gb/lowwaist-straightleg-coloured-jeans-l04675300?cS=700
These are unbelievably long, ridiculously so, and having altered will just make the whole thing sit funny; they're too wide for her frame anyway.
Problem is, she is very self concious about her body and doesn't want to wear anything too skin tight, so skinnies are a big no no.
She has a lot of friends that are much taller and skinnier than her and I feel bad I bought these trousers as it's just made her feel like crap. For what it's worth, she has a lovely body, but it already very womanly and she cannot get away with a lot of the current teen fashion of crop tops and humongous trousers.
